CRT Packaging: 25 years in the business

Trust and understanding are the foundation of 25 years of collaboration between CRT Packaging and Smart Packaging Solutions. CRT Packaging, located in the United Kingdom, was started by Colin Robinson 25 years ago in his home and today, is has grown to a successful company supplying around 10,000 tonnes of solid board packaging annually. Colin and his team serve the entire UK and Irish markets and have enjoyed success in Asia too. Colin: “Smart Packaging Solutions is our partner and is instrumental in our growth and stability.”

CRT Packaging sells and distributes our products throughout the UK and Ireland and beyond. “But we are more than just packaging agents,” explains Colin. “We also play a role in the graphical and structural design of our customers packaging. And using our network of four storage and distribution facilities around the UK, we are able to offer a just-in-time delivery service for customers with limited storage facilities.”

Colin and his team work closely with our plants in Belgium and The Netherlands. “Everything we do with Smart Packaging Solutions is a partnership,” Colin continues. “The service we offer our customers is also a reflection of the service we receive from our suppliers, like Smart Packaging Solutions. This is the very reason why we have been able to grow our business, and indeed, many of our customers have been with us since day one. Initially working with Bert van Ommeren, before his retirtement, and now with Commercial Director Mark Breugelmans, Managing Director Johan De Neef and their team. With their full support and encouragement, I am sure we can continue to offer high quality solid fibreboard packaging and a consistent and reliable service.”

Clients of CRT Packaging can also count on Colin to stay in the business. “I am 59 years old but do not plan on retiring any time soon. Working keeps me young and active.”
