Environmental monitoring report: how sustainable was the Loenen plant in 2023?

Lower water consumption per ton of manufactured solid cardboard. Lower CO₂ emissions and lower nitrogen emissions than in 2022. These are just a few of the results our plant in Loenen achieved in 2023.

Caring for people and our planet are important cornerstones for Smart Packaging Solutions. Throughout last year, many individual achievements were accomplished to further reduce the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes. We have compiled the results for our plant in Loenen in the Milieumonitor (environmental monitoring report). In the Milieumonitor for 2023 you can read all about how much cardboard we manufactured, our power consumption, emissions, the sources of energy we utilised and our water consumption.

In 2024 we plan to continue making our business and operations even more sustainable. One example of this is that our processing plant will have the existing lighting replaced with low energy consumption LEDs.
